When I first drove into the massive Kalahari Resorts Poconos lot, I was immediately blown away. From the gate you feel like you have entered a different world. The majestic scenery leading to the entrance was beautiful but it does nothing to prepare you for the splendid décor waiting just beyond the doors.

Immediately when you walk in, you are immersed in an authentic  Kalahari experience. Truly a feat of creating atmosphere, every angel of the resort is in beautifully crafted African decor. For me, it felt like an oasis more than a resort.

I didn’t have to close my eyes to image I was in the most exquisite African landscape. And then, if that wasn’t enough – you are hit with the reality that there are two theme parks waiting just steps away! It was all I could do to go to bed that night, so excited for the next day to come when I could slide down the massive water slide!!

The Kalahari Resorts Poconos is located in Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania. It opened on July 1, 2015, and completed an expansion that included an outdoor water park and other attractions in March 2017.

It consists of a 220,000-square-foot (20,000 m2) indoor waterpark (the country's largest), the outdoor water park, and a 230,000-square-foot (21,000 m2) convention center. It has 977 guest rooms. Not to mention, an impressive 40,000-square-foot (3,700 m2) arcade and entertainment center.

The awesome attractions at the Kalahari Resorts Poconos include Rides & Slides, the Big Game Room, Escape Rooms, Black Light Mini Golf, Mini Bowling, 7-D Motion Theater, Adventurers Club, Activities Calendar, Gorilla Express, Outdoor Mini Golf and NOW Laser Tag!! I can’t wait to go back for that!

Their great dining includes the B-Lux Grill & Bar, Café Mirage, Double Cut Charcoal Grill / Liquor Bar, Felix's Bar, Ivory Coast Restaurant, and many more – if you can believe it!

Indulge in self-care at the Spa Kalahari & Salon which includes Relaxing Therapy Services. Also available is the Spa Kalahari Junior for the young ones.

And of course Kalahari Fitness, a great center to keep on track while away!

I loved every minute of my time at the Kalahari Resorts Poconos! We are planning a group trip to the Resort in 2020.
